Under the Load of Life

In the desolate mountains of Iran, over 20,000 people have become kolbars, forced into a dangerous smuggling trade which left 45 dead and 172 injured in 2022. This documentary focuses on opportunity and safety as basic rights as kolbars risk their lives daily and are frequently shot by Iranian border guards.
